Hyundai India Reports Domestic and Export Sales for April 2025
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded total sales of 60,774 units in April 2025. This included 44,374 units sold in the domestic market and 16,400 units exported. The company also reported crossing the 9 million mark in cumulative domestic sales since beginning operations in India in 1996.
As HMIL approaches its 30th year in India on May 6, 2025, it acknowledged continued challenges in the domestic market due to broader economic factors. Despite this, export volumes grew by 21.5% in April 2025 compared to April 2024. From January to April 2025, export sales rose by 16.2% year-on-year.
The company reiterated its ongoing focus on international markets through its manufacturing operations in India, aligning with its export-oriented strategy. This has contributed to growth in overseas shipments while domestic demand remains under pressure.
HMIL is also set to begin operations at its new manufacturing facility in Talegaon in the fourth quarter of 2025. The plant is expected to support the company’s production capacity and future market plans.
