International preschool brand launches Kullu centre
EuroKids, an international preschool brand with over 23 years of experience in early childhood education, recently launched its first centre in Kullu. EuroKids integrates the principles of Project Zero, an educational initiative by Harvard University.
The approach fosters critical thinking, creativity and meaningful learning, with an aim to ensure that each child thrives in a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment. School chairperson Pancham Gupta highlighted the school’s curriculum, built on the HEUREKA learning framework, which aims to cultivate superior thinking abilities in children.
“This philosophy focuses on developing five essential quotients — emotional, physical, intelligent, cognitive and spiritual — collectively known as EPICS. By integrating these elements, we emphasise overall growth beyond academics,” Gupta said. The school’s key developmental focus areas were cognitive and emotional growth, motor and sensory skill enhancement, fine motor development, and language acquisition, the chairperson added.
“We also prioritise essential life skills such as communication, confidence building, anger management and self-expression, helping children navigate real-life challenges with resilience and empathy,” she said.
Mathematics was taught through practical tools, while scientific curiosity was nurtured with interactive experiments, she added, stating that Euro Yoga, Eugym and EuroFit, the school’s programmes, promoted physical health and mindfulness, while Euphonics, another programme, enhanced early literacy and phonetic awareness.
