Hyundai CRETA tops sales charts again in April 2025

JAMMU, May 3: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that the Hyundai CRETA has retained its position as the highest-selling car in India for the second straight month.
A statement said that in April 2025, the company sold 17,016 units of the CRETA, recording a 10.2% year-on-year growth compared to April 2024.
Between January and April 2025, it said, Hyundai sold a total of 69,914 units of the CRETA, making it the country’s best-selling SUV during this period.
The rising demand for SUVs has pushed their share in HMIL’s overall domestic sales to an all-time high of 70.9% in April.
The launch of the electric version of the CRETA has also helped boost its popularity. The brand continues to attract customers with its mix of design, features, and performance.
Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, said the back-to-back success of the CRETA as the best-selling car in India shows the strong trust customers have in the brand.
He added that the new electric CRETA has strengthened Hyundai’s role in India’s electric mobility growth.
Launched over a decade ago, the CRETA has remained a favourite among SUV buyers in India.
Its combination of bold looks, technology, comfort, and safety features has made it a top choice for modern buyers.
With over 1.2 million customers so far, the Hyundai CRETA has firmly established itself as one of India’s most desired SUVs.
