BJP demands immediate action to deport Pakistani nationals
The BJP leaders, including district president Rajnish Dhiman, senior leader Anil Sarin and many others, today submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner to help identify and deport Pakistani nationals as soon as possible.
In the memorandum, the leaders said that the brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, had shocked the entire nation. In the wake of this tragic incident, the Central Government took a significant step by initiating the cancellation of visas issued to Pakistani nationals and commencing their deportation.
The leaders have made a submission for prompt identification of all Pakistani nationals residing in various parts of the district who are without valid documents, possess expired visas or whose visas have been suspended. “This is a matter of grave national security, and therefore, such individuals must be listed without delay, and necessary legal action initiated immediately.
This is a highly sensitive matter, and it is expected that the local administration will act swiftly and decisively in accordance with the national directives, thereby strengthening public confidence and addressing potential security concerns in a timely manner. We urge the authorities concerned to take immediate cognisance of this memorandum and ensure appropriate action,” said Sarin and Dhiman.
