BIG BREAKING: India shoots down Pak’s US-made F-16 after it fires missiles over Jammu

Jammu: Indian Armed Forces reportedly shot down as many as three fighter jets of Pakistan on Thursday evening when they attempted to attack Jammu. As per reports, India neutralised three Pakistani fighter jets, including a US-made F-16 fighter jet. Two JF-17s were also shot down as Islamabad retaliated after Operation Sindoor.

Tensions escalated from Pakistan’s side after its missiles attempted to target military and civilian sites in Jammu, RS Pura, Chani Himat, and surrounding areas on Thursday evening. India’s advanced air defence systems, including S-400 and Akash systems, successfully intercepted the Pakistani missiles and drones.

As per initial details, the Indian Armed Forces have destroyed 8 drones or missiles that attempted to attack Jammu.

Indian air defences successfully repelled an attempted incursion by a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet that launched from Sargodha and approached Jammu.

According to the initial report, F-16 was shot down after it attempted to strike Jammu Airport. The Indian Army conducted out swift retaliatory action.

Indian air defence systems successfully intercepted and neutralised Pakistani drones near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, shortly after similar incidents in Jammu. The heightened security situation along the India-Pakistan border, encompassing Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan, necessitates continued high alert by Indian forces to prevent further attacks on military and civilian targets.

Meanwhile, a complete blackout has been imposed in several districts, including Jammu, RS Pura, Amritsar, Poonch, Jaisalmer, and other areas near the international border as a precautionary measure.
