Ludhiana’s fusion band performs at WAVES-2025 in Mumbai
Ludhiana-based band, Band Shivoham — The Fusionist, was invited to perform at India’s first World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The event, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was held recently and saw participation from over 90 countries, with more than 10,000 delegates in attendance.
Band Shivoham was the only band invited from Punjab, having been a finalist in the “Battle of the Bands,” a segment of the ‘Create in India Challenge’ under the WAVES 2025 initiative.
Founded in 2016 by lead singer Pradeep Sharma (Paddy), the band includes Sunny Singh on acoustic guitar and Sufi vocals, Ashu Ashwani on drums, Hitesh Nayyer on bass guitar, Yuvraj Meena on electric guitar and Rocky on keyboard.
The band’s first hit, ‘Shankar Sankat’, garnered up to 10.6 million views on YouTube. Shivoham is a dynamic band that blends Sufi, fusion and Western styles into a vibrant musical experience. Their sets are known for creative rhythms, soulful melodies and an eclectic soundscape.
Lead vocalist Paddy shared that the band established the city’s first jampad, named Shivoham Jampad, in February 2025. He added that the band has performed in Bali, Hua Hin, Baku, Singapore, Phuket and Bangkok. Paddy was also invited to appear on a show at Fun Asia Radio, Dallas (USA).
The band shoots its music videos at various stunning locations across India, such as Lahaul-Spiti, Chandertal Lake, Tabo Monastery, Tungnath, Har ki Dun, Kedarnath, Varanasi, Kinnaur, Chopta, Chandrashila, Devprayag and Rudraprayag — blending their soulful sound with the serene beauty of these landscapes.
