Uttarakhand Suspends Char Dham Yatra Chopper Services

The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) has suspended Chaar Dham Yatra helicopter services with immediate effect in Uttarakhand. Helicopter Service is only available to evacuate pilgrims from Char Dham Yatra locations, reported news agency ANI.

The suspension comes two days after six people, including five women, were killed in a helicopter crash near the Bhagirathi river in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. One person had sustained serious injuries in the crash.
