After India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in the early hours of May 7, rattled by this, Pakistan resorted to artillery shell firings targeting civilian establishments along the border area in Jammu and Kashmir.

The President commended the valour and the dedication of the Armed Forces that made India's response to terrorism a sterling success.
