In the Class 12 board exams conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), girls once again performed better than boys. Out of the 75 students who made it to the top-10 merit list, 61 were girls and only 14 were boys. Mehak, a student from St D R Public Senior Secondary School in Gagret, Una district, topped the state across all streams arts, science, and commerce. She scored 486 out of 500 marks, securing 97.2 per cent in the science stream. She topped in the science stream and the overall examination.

Khushi from Dhauladhar Public Senior Secondary School in Dharamshala and Jahnavi Thakur from Bharti Vidyapeeth Public School in Baijnath tied for the second position with 96.6 per cent each.

In the arts stream, Ankita from Government Senior Secondary School took the top spot with 483 marks (96.6 per cent). Nirdosh Kumari from New Era School of Sciences, Chhatri (Kangra), and Jyoti Sharma from Government Senior Secondary School, Jalari (Hamirpur), secured second and third positions with 96 per cent and 95.8 per cent, respectively.

For the commerce stream, Payal Sharma of Government Senior Secondary School, Chanour (Kangra), ranked first with 96.4 per cent. Shagun and Ananya Thakur, both from Government Senior Secondary School, Chauki Maniar (Una), followed in second and third place with 95.6 per cent and 95.4 per cent, respectively.

  • 2nd position – Khushi, Jahnavi Thakur and Ankita (96.6 per cent)
  • 3rd position – Kanak Sharma, Kanika, Krish Lahoria, Navneet Kaur, Palak Thakur, Payal Sharma, Riya Rang (96.2 per cent)

HPBOSE Chairman and Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa declared the results at a press conference. This year, the overall pass percentage increased significantly, rising from 73.76 per cent in 2024 to 83.16 per cent in 2025.

A total of 86,373 students appeared for the exams. Out of these, 71,591 students passed, 5,847 were placed in the compartment category, and 8,581 students failed. The exams were held between March 4 and March 29 at 2,300 centres throughout Himachal Pradesh.

Students can view their results on the hpbose.org.in website immediately after the declaration. To check the result:

  • Visit the official hpbose.org.in page.
  • Enter the required details like Roll Number and Date of Birth.
  • Submit the information to view the marksheet.
  • Download and print the result for future reference.

  • Download the DigiLocker app on your mobile or visit digilocker.gov.in
  • Create an account or log in.

  • Enter your Roll Number and other required details.
  • Your digital marksheet will be displayed and saved in your DigiLocker account.
