Congress leader Jairam Ramesh slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre on Thursday and charged that terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack are roaming freely in Jammu and Kashmir. Ramesh alleged the terrorists were involved in three other attacks in the last 18 months.

The Congress secretary (Communications) told ANI, "I came to know through sources that the Pahalgam attack terrorists are responsible for three other terror attacks in the last 18 months. They are roaming around in Jammu and Kashmir, and all our MPs are roaming around the world."

Ramesh slammed the Centre for sending all-party delegations to partner countries and said the Centre should have instead focused on nabbing the terrorists. "The priority should be catching the terrorists, not sending MPs to other countries. Who will answer these questions? There should be a parliament session, but it has not been called. The prime minister is never present at all-party meetings. He does not give any answers," the publication reported quoting the Congress leader.

Ramesh's comments come as all-party delegations embarked on trip to partner countries to present India's strong views against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism as part of Operation Sindoor. Seven all-party delegations will visit 33 countries and present the steps India has taken to combat terrorism.

The Congress leader also questioned why the Centre and Prime Minister Modi are silent despite US President Donald Trump's repeated claims that he facilitated the ceasefire between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor.

Trump, during his recent meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, said, "If you take a look at what we just did with Pakistan and India. We settled that whole, and I think I settled it through trade."

The US president has been repeatedly claiming that he helped settle the tensions between India and Pakistan.

In a post on  X, Ramesh asked, "For the 8th time in 11 days, President Trump has - Claimed full credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan; Praised the PMs of India and Pakistan equally and put them on par in every way; Reiterated that trade with the US was the instrument he used to get India and Pakistan to declare a ceasefire."

He added, "Yet our PM--Donald bhai's great buddy--is completely silent on what the US president is repeatedly saying. The external affairs minister also continues to maintain complete quiet on what his pal, the US secretary of state, has said in support of the US president's claims and about the 'neutral site' for talks between India and Pakistan. Why this thundering silence?"
