'Nakal Karne Ke Liye Bhi Akal Chahiye': Asaduddin Owaisi Slams Pakistan Over Fake Op Bunyan Image Gifted By Asim Munir

Kuwait City: AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi has taken a sharp jab at Pakistan’s military leadership after a video of him mocking the country’s botched attempt at war propaganda went viral.

The controversy erupted when Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir presented a memento depicting a so-called “victory” in Operation Bunyan al-Marsus, which was later revealed to be a photo from a 2019 Chinese military drill.

The image, presented during a formal dinner hosted by Asim Munir in honour of political leaders, was portrayed as a visual triumph of Pakistan’s alleged four-day conflict with India. However, social media users quickly debunked the claim, identifying the image as part of a 2019 Chinese military exercise.

Mockery ensued online, with one user on X commenting, “Pakistan is now using a Chinese drill photo to celebrate its own military operation. They can’t even produce original visuals of their own military action.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Owaisi, while addressing the Indian diaspora in Kuwait, said: “These stupid jokers want to compete with India. They gave a photograph of a 2019 Chinese Army drill claiming it’s a victory over India,” as quoted by ANI.

In a scathing remark that has since gone viral, he added, “Nakal karne ke liye akal chahiye, inke pass akal bhi nahi hai” (It takes brains to copy, and they don’t even have that).

The diplomatic gaffe comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which killed 26 Indian tourists. India retaliated with Operation Sindoor on May 7–8, destroying terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, and eliminating over 100 militants.

“This is the level of absurdity we’re dealing with. If Pakistan can’t even fabricate properly, how can anyone take them seriously," Owaisi said.
