Dipika Kakar On How Baby Ruhaan Reacted To Her Illness Amid Cancer Diagnosis: ‘Woh Samajh Gaya Hai...'

Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar recently opened up about how their baby boy Ruhaan is reacting to Dipika’s liver cancer diagnosis. In a heartfelt vlog shared on Shoaib’s YouTube channel, the couple spoke about the emotional and physical challenges they’re facing, and how even little Ruhaan seems to understand that something is wrong.

Shoaib and Dipika's son Ruhaan's reaction to her liver cancer

Shoaib praised their son’s maturity, saying, "Haan Ruhaan bhi Mashallah bohot samajhdaari se usne behave kiya hai. Uska feeding toh abhi chhoot gaya hai, poora chhoot gaya hai (Ruhaan has behaved very sensibly. His feeding has stopped now, completely)."

Dipika added, “Usko pata hai ki mumma theek nahi hai, woh samajh gaya hai. Woh ek aadh baar din mein aake mujhe bolta hai, par phir woh samajh jaata hai ki haan mumma theek nahi hai. But yes, sab log hain. So, we are staying strong (He has understood that mumma isn't well. He comes once or twice a day to me but then realises mumma isn't well. But yes, everyone is here).”

In the video, Dipika also asked fans to keep Ruhaan in their prayers along with her.

Dipika Kakar's health update

Talking about her health, the couple shared that Dipika’s surgery—which was initially scheduled for this week—has been postponed as doctors want her to recover from a flu first. Shoaib also mentioned that Dipika has been in pain due to a gall bladder stone.

Dipika said doctors are confident that she will recover fully after the tumour is removed surgically. Both Shoaib and Dipika asked fans for their prayers and said they are “staying strong.” They titled the vlog, "Toughest phase of our life | Keep dipi in your prayers."

Earlier, Dipika shared an emotional post on Instagram revealing that she has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. She wrote,
"As you all are aware, last few weeks have been quite difficult for us... walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach... and then finding out it’s a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then finding out that the tumour is second stage malignant (cancerous)... it has been one of the most difficult times we have seen, experienced!"

She had recently been hospitalised after suffering from high fever and pain.
