Janhvi Kapoor's Boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya SLAMS Trolls Calling Him 'Heartless' Over Operation Sindoor Post
Shikhar Pahariya, entrepreneur and boyfriend of Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, issued a statement on social media, hitting back at trolls who criticised him for praising the Indian Army in the wake of Operation Sindoor and the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir.
Taking to Instagram on Thursday (May 8), Shikhar shared a detailed post addressing those who accused him of being 'heartless' and demanded proof of Pakistan’s involvement in the April 22 terror attack that claimed 26 lives, many of whom were innocent tourists.
"To those messaging me calling me heartless for lauding our Indian Armed Forces or asking for ‘proof’ of Pakistan's involvement in the Pahalgam attack… let me speak with facts not fury," Shikhar wrote, beginning a strongly-worded response.
He went on to highlight that the targeted location, Pahalgam, was not a military installation but a peaceful tourist spot.
"Pahalgam wasn't a military post. It was a peaceful tourist destination where families came seeking joy not death. And yet 26 innocent Indian lives were brutally taken. No weapons. No provocation. This was not resistance. This was a hate fueled massacre," he added.
Citing intelligence and media reports, Shikhar stated that the attack was orchestrated by Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, both Pakistan-based terror groups, and backed by Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. He alleged that two of the attackers were Pakistani nationals, one of whom was a former paramilitary officer.
He also questioned Pakistan's response to India’s retaliatory action, noting that instead of condemning the attack, Pakistan increased security around Jaish chief Masood Azhar, a UN-designated terrorist who has long been protected by Pakistan’s military and intelligence.
Further into his post, he pointed out the historical pattern of Pakistan sheltering global terrorists, referencing Osama Bin Laden’s hideout near a military base in Abbottabad and Hafiz Saeed’s state-supported hate rallies. He cited repeated warnings by the UN and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) about Pakistan being a safe haven for terrorism.
While expressing his grief and frustration, Shikhar clarified that his anger was not directed at the citizens of Pakistan.
"We were once brothers. It is directed towards the people clouding your judgement and leading with hate and destruction, whose agendas are far from righteous," he said, adding that these forces were motivated by greed and chaos, not justice.
"This is the pain of watching mothers weep, children orphaned and peace shattered again and again, while those who orchestrate it wear uniforms and wave flags of false pride," he wrote.
Talking about the suffering of Pakistan’s innocent and misled citizens, he concluded, "But make no mistake our rage is not misplaced. It is earned."
Ending his post with a patriotic declaration, he wrote, "But India remembers. India rises. India responds. We have played the part of the bigger person for far too long. We will not stay silent while terror wears a badge and calls itself power. You cannot cover blood with denial. Not anymore. Jai Hind."
Shikhar’s post quickly gained traction and received support from his younger brother, Sky Force actor Veer Pahariya, and Janhvi, both of whom reshared the post on their Instagram stories.
The post arrives amid ongoing cross-border tensions following India’s precision strikes in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), which the Indian government described as a counter-terror operation.
