'Blood and Bookings won't..' Now, ixigo boycotts Turkey, China and Azerbaijan over support to Pakistan amidst clashes with India

Travel technology company "ixigo" announced that they are suspending all flight and hotel bookings for Turkey, China and Azerbaijan through their portal in the backdrop of the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. 

 

Azerbaijan had strongly backed Pakistan after India targeted terrorist hubs in Pakistan and PoK through 'Operation Sindoor' while Turkey sent a naval ship to Karachi port amidst the clashes. Later, Turkish kamikaze drones were used by Islamabad to target locations across India's border states. Ankara and Beijing are the major known arms suppliers of Pakistan. It is said that China supplied around 70% of Pakistan's total arms between 2016 and 2022.

"Enough is Enough! Blood and Bookings wont flow together. We are suspending all flight and hotel bookings for Turkey,  China and Azerbaijan on ixigo," Group CEO of Ixigo Aloke Bajpai jotted on X on Saturday evening. "In solidarity with our nation, ixigo is suspending flight and hotel bookings for Turkey, Azerbaijan and China. Because when it comes to Bharat, we don't think twice. Jai Hind," Ixigo's X handle said.

Earlier, EaseMyTrip and Cox & Kings had announced similar move condemning the anti-India stance by Turkey and Azerbaijan. Cox & Kings has stalled all new travel offerings to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkey.

 

Go Homestays on Friday had cut ties with the Turkish Airlines on similar grounds. "“We are officially ending our partnership with Turkish Airlines due to their unsupportive stance towards India. Going forward, we will no longer include their flights in our international travel packages. Jai Hind," the travel brand had said.
