India-Pakistan Ceasefire: BCCI Contemplating IPL 2025 Resumption; Check Details Inside

After an unprecedented halt in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 which saw the tournament being suspended for at least one week following escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is mulling the resumption of the cash-rich league after both India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on May 10 (Saturday), as per sources.

While official updates from the BCCI are still pending, sources informed ABP News that the board is considering making a decision on the resumption of IPL 2025 on May 11 (Sunday).

The tournament was suspended midway amid rising cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. Match no. 58 of IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) was interrupted midway, with the BCCI announcing a suspension of the tournament for at least a week just hours later.

There are still twelve league-stage matches remaining, followed by four playoff games. Originally, Hyderabad was designated to host Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator, while Kolkata was set to host Qualifier 2 and the Final.

Meanwhile, according to an ESPNcricinfo report, the BCCI has shortlisted Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium and Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad to conduct the remaining 16 games if IPL 2025 resumes this month.
